Oak Cliff Coalition for the Arts, Inc.
2017 Program Starts in September
Join the 2017 Voces Chapbook & Writer's Workshops.
Voces Chapbook & Workshops Program's purpose is to promote writing and the publishing of new works by raza writers.
OCCA will offer writers workshops and publish one anthology chapbook of new works by the participating writers. OCCA will also publish one chapbook per writer of new works.
What is a chapbook? It is a “self” published book (not by a publishing company or a small press) of poems, essays, short stories, and vignettes written by local and regional writers. However, nowadays, publishing your own book has come a long way. There are many digital publishing companies, as well as small publishing companies that print the “traditional” chapbook style (small 8” X 5.5” with a stitch binding).
Program Fee: $35
